For the first time ever, Disney will be setting aside a special event to celebrate its anniversary as a streamer. Disney+ completes two years today, November 12.
The event begins early, 9:00 am ET/6:00 am PT, which means you’ll be in for the all treats as soon as you wake up!
Pixar fans can look forward to the special presentation at 11:00 am ET/8:00 am PT, while Marvel fans can attend the one at 11:45 am ET/8:45 am PT. Both presentations will be live on all of Disney’s social media platforms and will feature new teasers, trailers, first looks, and more.
Along with this, Disney+ will also be releasing new content alongside other Disney properties that were not previously available for streaming before. Here’s a list for you:
Disney: The new projects being released are the Argentinian musical “Intertwined” and a recap series called Olaf Presents. Older short films that will premiere on the streamer for the first time are Frozen Forever, Tangled Ever After, Get a Horse!, The Little Matchgirl, Tick Tock Tale, Paperman, and Feast.
From Marvel, fans will finally get to see Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on Disney+. In addition, Disney will also be releasing IMAX-enhanced versions of 13 Marvel movies, including Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and others.
Now for those excited to catch the upcoming The Book of Boba Fett, releasing December 29, Disney+ is also releasing the special “Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett,” to help fans come up to speed.
There will be a special crossover to celebrate the first Disney+ Day as well: “The Simpsons in Plusaversary!” This will be the third Simpsons short produced for Disney+.
Hulu’s Dopesick will only be available on Disney+ Star, so US viewers may have to use a VPN to watch this one. National Geographic comes through with The World According to Jeff Goldblum, while Pixar will be debuting Ciao Alberto, a short film that follows up after Luca.
Last but not least, two new feature films will also be released today — Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s Jungle cruise, alongside the newest Home Alone installation, Home Sweet Home Alone.
