The much-awaited Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is right around the corner and therefore the developers of the game have revealed a new Edition for Elden Ring- Shadow of Erdtree edition. Let us take a look at what this new edition is all about.
1. What does Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree edition include?
Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree Edition includes a copy of the base game, the DLC expansion, and the Shadow of the Erdtree gesture (Only on Pre-orders). This edition of the game costs $80, which is $20 cheaper compared to buying both the base game and DLC expansion separately.
Shadow of the Erdtree edition is the best choice for new players, as it gets them the complete Elden Ring experience at a cheaper rate. Those gamers who already own a copy of the Elden Ring base game do not need to purchase this edition. They can directly buy the expansion for a price of $40.

2. When will Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree DLC be released?
Shadow of Erdtree will be released on 21st June as confirmed by the official X handle of the Elden Ring. This means that depending on their time zones, the DLC will be released differently for players worldwide.
Here is when the DLC will be out for different time zones:
- EST – June 20 midnight local time
- PST – June 20 at 9 PM
- CST – June 20 at 11 PM
- CEST – June 21 midnight local time

3. Are there any prerequisites to play the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?
Players need to defeat Starscourge Radahn (found deep in the south of Caelid) and the optional boss Mohg, Lord of Blood (located atop Mohgwyn Palace) to access the Shadow of Erdtree DLC.
Even if you have purchased the DLC, its storyline won’t be unlocked until you defeat these two enemies. Luckily, you can summon other players within your game to help you to beat these tough bosses.
However, there is only a short period left before the release of the DLC, so boot up the game and get to it.
4. About Elden Ring
Elden Ring is the next major title to be released by FromSoftware, the developers of Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne and the Dark Souls franchise. Elden Ring is set to release on the February 25th, 2022.
The game is set in a world known as The Lands Between. Players will take control of a Tarnished to explore these lands and uncover the secrets it holds. The game is an open-world style title with emphasis on combat and traversal. There is also a multiplayer component, along players to summon others for co-operative play, or to be invaded for PvP encounters.
