‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ had a storyline that expanded in some or the other way. It began with the fight against the holy knights, opened a secret plot to revive the ten commandments, and gave us a big showdown against the Demon King.
Everything seemed to be at peace, with Meliodas and Elizabeth ruling the kingdom of Liones. Now, after seven years, their son Tristan began his journey to save his mother. His journey is just the beginning of something big.
On Tuesday, the production staff for ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse’ announced that the anime will premiere on October 8. Additionally, The Japan Anniversary Association declared the day ‘July 4’ as ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Day’.
The promo above was released a few months ago, showing Percival, the new protagonist of the series. Other characters shown are Donny, Nasiens, Anne, and the fox Sin, who tag along with him.
Nakaba Suzuki, the author of both ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ and ‘Four Knights of the Apocalypse’ shared an illustration of Meliodas and Percival giving a high-five. This may also symbolize the ‘tag’ as Percival becomes the main character in the new series.
The cast voicing the new characters is listed below:

Donny | Kikunosuke Toya | – |
Nasiens | Aino Shimada | – |

I loved the original series for what it was. It did get complicated towards the end, especially at the King of Chaos arc. ‘Four Knights’ could surely elaborate upon the aftermath of that. We did see a peaceful era, but somewhere, I was curious to see what Chaos would lead to.
