Playground Games is getting ready to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original Forza Horizon with an anniversary update in Forza Horizon 5. The update will include an absurd amount of content for players to enjoy. The 10-year anniversary Update will kick in during Forza Horizon’s next weekly reset on October 11.
After the twelve Series updates which added new cars, events, features to Forza Horizon 5’s open world, Playground Games is preparing to make Series 13 the game’s “biggest update ever” with new cars, achievements, events and much more. This will be the 10-Year Anniversary Update.
Originally announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show, the details of the 10-year anniversary update has now been unveiled and Forza players are in for a treat as the update is loaded with classic content.
Horizon Origins: The latest update will introduce a brand new Horizon story: Horizon Origins, a five chapter event which will celebrate the history of the Forza Horizon series. Across five chapters, players will get the chance to relive some of the series’ most iconic gameplay moments starting with Forza Horizon 5.
Origins will be packed with easter eggs, cinematics, and each chapter of the story will showcase a different era of Forza Horizon and feature cover cars and much more from previous Forza titles.
Completing all the chapters will reward players with the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS Anniversary Edition, a unique variant that pays homage to the original Forza Horizon cover.
Festival Playlist: Each Season Week of the Series Playlist will be dedicated to a previous Forza Horizon game, and will include cover cars from each Forza Horizon game that players can earn. Races in these playlist will reuse assets from the previous Forza Horizon games to give the game a classic feel to it.
The races from these playlist will additionally include easter eggs, references and tributes to previous games of the series.

Midnight Battles Return: The classic fan-favourite feature from Forza Horizon 3 returns. These are one-on-one races where the winner keeps the opponent’s vehicle, and four battles will be spread across 16 new events at the ‘Street Scene’ hub.
The four hard-to-find vehicles up for grabs are the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1, the 1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen, the 2003 Toyota Celica SS-I and the 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV.
Horzion Mixtape: The latest update introduces new Forza Horizon music called the “Horzion Mixtape” which will feature a selection of music tracks from the previous Forza Horizon games to Forza Horizon 5. These music tracks can be unlocked via the game’s Accolades system as part of the Horizon Origins story:

Along with the new mixtapes, playlists and new events, Forza Horizon 5’s latest update will also include new EventLab Prop Pack, new clothing, new emotes, new achievements, new profile badges and a plethora of bug fixes.
Forza Horizon 5’s 10-year anniversary update drops on October 6 but the update will kick off during Forza Horizon’s next weekly reset which is on October 11.

Forza Horizon 5 is the latest installment in the Forza series of racing simulator games. It is the fifth Forza Horizon title and the twelfth main installment in the Forza series. The game has been developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft for the Xbox consoles and PC.
Forza Horizon 5 is set in a fictional representation of Mexico. Players will race through various kinds of biomes in the game, and will have access to a number of professional racing cars. Several game modes allow players to play online against others, and “The Eliminator” battle royale mode has also made a return from Forza Horizon 4.
