Episode 8 of the Food Wars! Season 5 anime, titled ” The Missing Half of the Moon,” will be released on Friday, August 21, 2020.
In the next episode, the food war between Takumi and Don Kama will ensue! Who will be the winner of this team battle?

2. Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
The preview of episode 8, titled “The Missing Half of the Moon,” showed the next competition between Takumi Aldini and Don Kama from Noir!
After Tsukasa’s defeat in the previous episode now Takumi has to go up against Noir in the team battle.
The members are allowed to register the support member; personally, Takumi has chosen his younger brother Isami but who will Don Kama choose?
Another character is shown standing near the ‘No Trespassing’ sign so that we might see a new character or reoccurrence of a familiar face.
Now that Asahi has won against Tsukasa and acquired his grater knife and skill, Tsukasa has put his faith in Souma to win against Asahi we are yet to see this battle.
Still, viewers are already anticipating the Souma vs. Asahi fight!
3. Recap of Episode 7
I. Souma Takes the Win!
Episode 8, titled “Crossed Knives,” begins with Souma’s Yukihira-style Midsummer Christmas cake presented to the judges, and Souma’s dad watches him on the big screen.
Amazed by Souma’s delicious and exquisite cake, which savored the bittersweet flavor and made without sugar but tasted like a beautiful summer delicacy, the judges showered Souma with praises.
Sarge agitated by the compliments Souma received for a mediocre cake.
According to her, he asked him what the source of his confidence, to which Souma replied that he learned it at his dad’s restaurant and flashbacks of Souma working day and night at the diner were shown was.
Sarge takes one bite of Souma’s cake and cannot help but admit defeat, Souma is then announced as the winner of the first round!
II. Asahi goes Strong
The next round takes place between Tsukasa vs. Asahi. To make things interesting, Asahi wagers Tsukasa’s grater and makes Tsukasa play along.
The theme for their dish was cooking chicken!
Tsukasa duels with his dish and takes care to season and attend to each of his ingredients. Asahi prepares his dish using various of the Noir member’s weapons and knives.
He flawlessly masters their techniques and cooks his chicken.
Tsukasa serves Poussin Chicken Rotir, whereas Asahi serves Grilled Poussin Chicken.
Both the contestants are praised for their cooking skills but not being able to forget Asahi’s chicken, which griped the judge’s hearts Asahi takes the title of the winner.
The contestants for the next round are announced to be Takumi Aldini vs. Don Kama from Noir!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. Yuki Morisaki also works as a Contributor, providing the recipes for the series.
An anime adaptation aired between April and September 2015.
The fifth and last season of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime television series was produced by J.C. Staff and directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani.
The series was first broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX. We follow the story of fifteen-year-old Souma Yukihira, who has helped his father by working as the sous chef.
His dream was someday to own his family’s restaurant as its head chef.
Yet when his father suddenly decides to close the restaurant to test his cooking abilities in restaurants around the world, he sends Souma to Totsuki Culinary Academy.
In this elite cooking school, only 10 percent of the students graduate. The institution is famous for its “Shokugeki” or “food wars,” where students face off in intense, high-stakes cooking showdowns.
As Souma and his new schoolmates struggle to survive the extreme lifestyle of Totsuki, more significant challenges await him, putting his years of learning under his father to the test.
