The preview of episode 10, titled “Surpassing Dad,” can be seen below. We are speculating the chef’s competition will continue at the BLUE castle, with everyone competing for the best chef title!
Asahi is confident he will be the final champion and win over Erina, but Souma stands in the way and is determined to take down Asahi!
Erina continues to fight to become the chef who can cook for her mother, but her mom is set on using any tricks to see her daughter’s downfall.
The number of participants left is less as the matches finish quickly, so soon we will see the finals of this chef’s tournament!

3. Recap of Episode 9
I. The Real Identity of the Book Master
Episode 9, titled “The God Tongue’s Despair,” begins with Erina heading to the primary battle stage for the first round and wins easily.
Megumi gets the notification for her first match, the last round for the day between Megumi and Noir’s Huang Zuiwang begins with the theme “Meals in a Flash.”
While Huang’s prowess and background were being discussed, Megumi quickly prepares her meal and wins! The next morning, because Souma wanted to have a word with the book master, the Totsuki academy students sneak into the castle.
But they overhear Erina’s conversation with the book master and find out that the book master was Erina’s mother!
II. Megumi and Asahi’s Bet!
Souma and the others watch as Erina promises her mother that she would win the BLUE tournament. Erina’s mother invites her friends in and tells Takumi that his next opponent will be Erina.
She tells the Aldini brothers to defeat God’s tongue and that Erina was unnecessary to the book master. Souma and the others learn about Mana-sama’s past and how she left Erina as a kid.
In the next round, two matches are held simultaneously, Erina vs. Takumi and Megumi vs. Asahi! Both the matches start, and the Asahi and Megumi each put their best for winning the wager they bet on for Erina!
Asahi uses Crossed knives, while Erina wins the battle against Takumi!
III. Asahi’s Conditions
The judges are impressed by taking one bite of Asahi’s beef but, at the same time, praise Megumi’s dish too. The decision was tough, but Asahi wins!
After his win, Asahi announces that he was the one the book master was searching for and that when he takes the title of the best chef in BLUE, the book master hand over Erina to him.
The book master replied that Asahi was free to do as he pleased, and whoever created the dish suited to her tastes would be awarded graciously!
In the end, Asahi intimidates Erina into thinking that the person her mother needed was Asahi and not her, but Souma objects to Asahi’s words.

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. Yuki Morisaki also works as a Contributor, providing the recipes for the series. An anime adaptation aired between April and September 2015.
The fifth and last season of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime television series was produced by J.C. Staff and directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani.
The series was first broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX. We follow the story of fifteen-year-old Souma Yukihira, who has helped his father by working as the sous chef.
His dream was someday to own his family’s restaurant as its head chef. Yet when his father suddenly decides to close the restaurant to test his cooking abilities in restaurants around the world, he sends Souma to Totsuki Culinary Academy.
In this elite cooking school, only 10 percent of the students graduate. The institution is famous for its “Shokugeki” or “food wars,” where students face off in intense, high-stakes cooking showdowns.
