Evil West was first revealed last year during The Game Awards with a trailer being developed by Flying Wild Hog. On August 16 of this year, the publisher of the game Focus Entertainment released a statement on Twitter that the game would be delayed by a couple of months as more time was needed for polishing the game. But it seems like that delay will be the only delay the game faces.
Evil West has officially gone gold, just over a month before the game officially launches. Focus Entertainment shared a tweet telling “vampire hunters” to prepare for the game’s launch on November 22nd as the game has officially gone gold. Check out the tweet below:
Despite only showing the covers for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in the tweet, the game is also confirmed to be launching on PS4 too. “Gone gold” means that the game is fully functional and is ready to be distributed with its physical copies for manufacturing. Fans can rest easy knowing that it won’t be delayed anymore since it has gone gold, unless the situation turns out to be like Cyberpunk.
Focus Interactive has also said that players who pre-order the game will receive the “Wild Wild East” skin pack which will unlock a separate appearance for the protagonist Jesse, and a “unique skin” for his arsenal. The community response to the news of the game getting delayed and then achieving gone gold status has both been positive which is a good sign.
Evil West officially launches on November 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
