In the scene, we see the taxi driver who brought Freddy Fazbear and Abby to the Pizzeria. He parks the car outside the Pizzeria and tries to sleep when he hears knocks on his car. Though the driver ignores them at first, the door opens and closes, making him wonder who was knocking.
When the driver opens his eyes, he sees the clown toy sitting on the seat next to him. It is a funny jumpscare sequence, though it does not add anything to the plot or tease a sequel. Fans generally expect mid-credits scenes to add more to the story or tease a future sequel, but that is not the case here.
2. Should You Wait for the Five Nights at Freddy’s Mid-Credits Scene?
Given that the mid-credits scene does not provide any additional information or tease the beginning of a franchise or potential sequel, it is not necessary to sit through the credits to watch it.

3. Why The Five Nights at Freddy’s Mid-Credits Scene Doesn’t Set Up a Sequel
The makers had many opportunities to tease a potential sequel through a mid-credits or post-credits scene. It seems so surprising that they didn’t because the makers constantly mentioned that they would like the franchise to continue. It seems like they had a plan in place but did not go through with it for whatever reason.
One likely reason is that the makers are waiting to see how Five Nights at Freddy’s performs at the box office. The making of sequels depends on a lot of factors, and the first film doing good business is a primary one. So, maybe the makers do not want to promise a sequel when it might not happen.
The lore of the video game franchise could also be another reason. Part 2 of the game features completely different characters and is actually a prequel. So, if the makers are to follow the video game, it is difficult to tease a second part via a post-credit scene.

The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, and Elizabeth Lail. The film will release simultaneously in theaters and on Peacock on October 27, 2023.
