Solo Leveling is one of the most-awaited anime by fans since its announcement. The Korean manhwa has been one of the favorites among all those who love the action and isekai genre.
In a world where strength is already defined, the ability to level up by fighting is a rare one. And when ‘the weakest hunter’ gets it, it kind of levels the field.
On Tuesday, the official website and Twitter account for the Solo Leveling anime series revealed a teaser video and a visual. Both reveal that the anime will premiere in the winter of 2024.
In the teaser, a mysterious stone figure is shown, with Sung-Jinwoo beginning his journey as a hunter. He later fights with three gigantic armored knights in the room where the stone figure stood.
The scene then changes to Sung-Jinwoo appearing in a different look with glowing eyes.
The key visual below shows Sung-Jinwoo resting on a circular platform. Trails of blood spread out in all directions from behind.
A-1 Pictures is producing the anime with Shunsuke Nagashige as the director. Noboru Kimura is the head writer. Tomoko Sudo is designing the characters for the anime. Hiroyuki Sawano is working on the music.
Some fans are concerned about whether the studio will be able to deliver quality and avoid any production issues. From the trailer, the animation looks great. As for the production issues, I hope they get addressed in advance so that Solo Leveling makes a full run.
