One of the most famous slasher film series, Scream, will premiere its sixth instalment in March 2023. Paramount Pictures just released the teaser for Scream 6, featuring the return of Ghostface and introducing us to his new targets – or should we say old ones?
The 2023 film is preceded by Scream, a reboot of the series that also acted as a direct sequel to Scream 4. Scream 6 welcomes most of the 2022 film’s cast, including Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Goodling.
We’ll also see Courteney Cox reprise her role as Gale Weathers, and Hayden Panettiere will also return as one of the murder spree survivors. Franchise star Neve Campbell won’t return as Sidney Prescott, making Scream 6 the first film not to feature the legacy character.

The teaser doesn’t offer more than forty seconds of footage from the 2023 film, featuring the return of the same characters from the reboot film. It must be Halloween since the New York subway train is crowded with many spooky travelers and not one but multiple Ghostfaces.
The short scene hints that the survivors were trying to escape Ghostface and their chase led to the underground trains of New York City. But Ghostface catches up with them, and Mindy might just end up being a roadkill on the subway tracks as the killer kills his first in NYC.
The modern city landscape is a nice change from the usual Woodsboro scenery, and we can’t wait for March 10, 2023, when Ghostface lands in the Big Apple and gets up to his old bloody ways.

Scream 6 is an upcoming American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It will be the sixth installment in the Scream film series and a direct sequel to Scream (2022).
The film continues with the survivors of the latest Ghostface killings, sisters Samantha and Tara Carpenter, and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks. Leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a new chapter of their lives in New York City, they’re once again plagued by a streak of murders by a new Ghostface killer.
The film will release on March 10, 2023, and the cast includes Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Goodling, Courteney Cox, and Hayden Panettiere.
