Parents will go to any lengths to save their children from harm, and My Home Hero’s protagonist, Tetsuo Tosu, is an extreme yet accurate example of it.
This crime thriller manga based on a father killing people who harm his daughter is nothing short of spectacular. Given how good the manga is, it wasn’t long before the series got scheduled to receive a TV anime.
After almost five months since the announcement, we finally have a first look at the anime.
The official website of the ‘My Home Hero’ anime has revealed its first promo video featuring the home invasion where the main story began.
It begins with Tetsuo ambushing his daughter Reika’s abusive boyfriend, Nobuto Matori. Tetsuo finds out that Nobuto is a member of a crime syndicate, has killed his girlfriends in the past, and abuses Reika a lot.
To save his daughter, Tetsuo kills Nobuto before he can put Reika through more harm and abuse. Tetsuo’s wife Kasen helps him hide the body, and the two begin working together to ensure the safety of their family and Reika.
In addition to the trailer, the website has also shared information on the anime’s opening and ending theme song. The OP is ‘Ai no Uta’ (Song of Love) by Chiai Fujikawa, and the ED is ‘Decided’ by Dizzy Sunfist.
The story is an accurate portrayal of the lengths a parent can go to ensure their child’s safety. Besides showing family values, it is also a well-written thriller that crime and suspense lovers will absolutely enjoy.
It is expected to air in April 2023, and more information regarding the release will be out soon.
About My Home Hero
My Home Hero is a manga series by Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki. It was first launched in May 2017 in the Weekly Young Magazine.
The series revolves around Tetsuo, a 47-year-old man who has never committed any crime. He has a tsundere daughter, Reika, who he loves a lot.
After Reika moves out, Tetsuo realizes that she is in an abusive relationship, and her boyfriend plans to kill her. In that instant, he decides to go against his peaceful nature to do anything to protect his family.
