‘Delicious in Dungeon’ or ‘Dungeon Meshi’ combines hunting in deep caverns and cooking with the goal of survival and rescue. A party of adventurers fights a dragon in the dungeon to claim the big prize – a kingdom hidden within, but hunger gets in their way.
To let the party, regroup, Falin uses her magic to send her brother and leader, Laios, and others out. But she gets eaten up. Outside, the party wants to get back to her, but with no food and money, they decide to feed on the monsters living inside.
On Monday, the official website for the anime adaptation of ‘Delicious in Dungeon’ announced a teaser for the main character Laios. The video will premiere on Kadokawa’s YouTube channel on May 25 at 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT).
The thumbnail refers to the teaser as the ‘official trailer’ so we can’t say how long the video will be. Moreover, as per the official Twitter, not only Laios but other characters and their voice artists will also be revealed.
Studio Trigger, known for Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; will produce the animation for the series.

‘Delicious in Dungeon’ was launched in 2014 by Ryōko Kui. It was nominated twice for the Manga Taisho Awards in 2016 and 2019. In 2016, it ranked number one in the ‘Kono Manga ga Sugoi’ list of top 20 shonen manga.
The manga also ranked twice on Da Vinci magazine’s list – #13 in 2015 and #35 in 2020.
