2. Fire Force Season 3 Episode 1 Recap
The first episode of Fire Force season 3, titled “Indomitable Resolve” started out with Shinra having an aggressive fight with Arthur, both displaying progress in abilities after training. The anime chose this moment to reintroduce all the members of Company 8 in this scene. Meanwhile, captain Obi was reporting to the chief about the details of his investigation. He explained that Haijima wasn’t collaborating with the White-Clad. He also explained that an insect was used by Rekka Hoshimiya to transform the child and artifically develop an Adolla Burst.

The chief was impressed with Obi’s investigation, but before they could discuss any further, they were interrupted by officers from the Tokyo Imperial Army, who took Obi into custody. Before Obi got taken away, he asked the chief to contact Hinawa and let him know about the situation. Obi, who had initially considered the possibility that the army had made a mistake when he saw that they were accompanied by the White Clad.

Back at Company 8, after Shina’s training was over, everyone was immediately summoned by Hinawa, who revealed that Obi had been captured. He then let them know that he would be fighting against the empire, which would make him a traitor. He insisted that this would be his personal mission and that he would force no one to accompany him. This didn’t stop anyone, though, as Company 8 is more of a family, and no one was willing to sacrifice any of their members.
The next scene took place at the Curia, where many members of Company One were assembled. The priest Raffles went into a spiel about how the empire needs to be unified and then went on to introduce the White Clad, revealing how they are all Adolla Burst users. This naturally brought an uproar from the leutinants who recognised the White Clad to be an enemy of the empire.

Interestingly, right after this, we got to see Haumea use her talking head to effectively brainwash everyone to think that they have the same motives. She then told them that their goal to replicate the Great Cataclysm was something that their god Sol wanted, and the White Clad was just representing Sol. All this was enough to swoop the captain off his feet, as he kneeled down and submitted to the White Clad right after he speech.
3. What To Expect In Episode 2 of Fire Force Season 3?
In the upcoming episode of Fire Force season 3, we will likely see a lot more of Captain Obi, who just got imprisoned. Considering how the White Clad was at the Curia in the previous episode, we can assume that Obi also got locked in one of the cellars in Curia. The latest episode ended with Leonard Burns informing Haumea that Obi would be rewarded with an insect. This means that Obi, too, would have to undergo the same fate as the boy who was forced to transform in the previous season.

We will also likely see Company 8 prepare for the war against the White Clad and the empire. At this point, we can be sure that the White Clad has brainwashed a huge chunk of the empire, so Company 8 will have a lot to deal with. They will likely also set out on their mission to save Captain Obi in the upcoming episode.
