Fire Force Season 2 Episode 5: Release Date, Preview, Watch Online

Fire Force is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It follows Shinra Kusakabe is a third-generation pyrokinetic youth who gained the nickname “Devil’s Footprints” to ignite his feet at will.

He joins Special Fire Force Company 8, which features other pyrokinetics dedicated to ending the Infernal attacks for good.

Shinra begins to learn that his younger brother’s abduction during the fire that killed their mother 12 years ago is caused by a mysterious doomsday cult behind the Infernal attacks.

Company 8 and their allies oppose the White Cloaks and their Knights of the Ashen Flame, who seek specific individuals like Shinra and his brother Sho to enact a scheme to repeat the Great Disaster.

The second season continues with the story left off from the first, follow up on its latest episodes!

1. Episode 5 Title & Release Date

Episode 5 of the Fire Force Season 2 anime, titled “Corna (Sign of the Devil),” will be released on Friday, July 31, 2020. 

In the next episode, Shinra gets ready to defeat Charon using his secret move, Corna!

No, episode 5 of the Fire Force Season 2 anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced. The anime comes out weekly every Friday.

2. Episode 5 Preview & Speculation

In the preview of episode 5, titled “Corna (Sign of the Devil)” as Shinra squares off against White-Clad Charon, while fighting an uphill battle against the foe he can’t lay a scratch on, he finally figures out the secret and gets ready to use his finishing move.

The companies also upgrade their techniques to fight the army of Infernals! It is not over, yet the fire force will save the city! 

3. Recap of Previous Episode 4

I. The City Is Burning

Episode 4, titled “Groping through the fire,” begins with the city burning down and the firefighters reassuring the crowd they will put the Infernals to rest!

However, several citizens keep turning into Infernals, making it hard for the fire force to fight. Infernals’ distribution does not seem spontaneous, so they suspect the white cloaks must be using insects to set people ablaze.

The chief orders Maki and Vilcan to locate the plasma user, they spot her on the roof and send Arthur her way to fight.

Back at Shinra’s battle, Inca declines to go with either of them. Charon uses a walk and tells Inca she lost her freedom when she came to possess Adolla Burst.

Shinra kicks him out of the way, but it is too late for Inca she gets driven by her power and attacks both of them to run away.

II. Shinra Figures It Out!

When Shinra tries to get her back, Charon punches him, and their fight continues. A demon Infernal makes its appearance in front of Takehisa and Vulcan!

Tamaki reaches to help them but gets caught up in her wardrobe malfunction. Soon, Lieutenant Karim freezes the Infernals saving company 8 members.

Shinra faces difficulty with being overpowered by the number, so Toru lends a hand using Backdraft Bubblish Gum to destroy the enemy, bringing Juggernaut along.

Shinra apologizes to them and takes off to find Inca but is stopped by Charon mid-air. Company 1, 2, and 5 all come as reinforcements and begin the rescue mission!

Arthur lands down to fight the shocked lady, while Inca gets captured, Shinra gets beaten up by Charon. He remembers the tenokata form, which allowed him to cause an explosion and tries to use Corna!

Fire Force also is known as En’en no Shōbōtai, literally meaning “Blazing Firefighting Corps” is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo.

It is published by Kodansha and has been serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 2015, with the chapters collected into twenty-three tankōbon volumes as of May 2020.

An anime television series adaptation by David Production aired from July to December 2019 on the Super Animeism block. The second season of the Fire Force anime television series is also animated by David Production.

Tatsumi Minakawa replaced Yuki Yase to be the director of the series. The series premiered on July 3, 2020.
