Season two of Fire Force anime is on its way, and the creators have begun promotions. The first season ended in December 2019, and fans have been eagerly waiting for the next part of the anime, which is now finalized for release in July 2020.
The anime’s official website has been releasing promotional videos to introduce the new cast members.
The latest PV reveals two new cast members of the anime: Kentaro Ito and Sho Hayami. Kentaro Ito plays the role of Schop, a talking mole, and Sho Hayami is playing Yata(Beauty), a talking crow.
Schop is a blue-nosed, black mole whose tail spontaneously catches on fire. It wears a dark blue scarf which seems a bit burnt. It was taught how to talk by a mysterious lady, and its lifespan has been extended. In the Chinese Peninsula Arc, it was saved by the Fire Force from a giant worm.
Yata or Beauty is a black crow, and much like Schop, it can talk and wears a black hood and scarf. It also appears during the same arc as Schop and joins forces with Fire Force.
Kentaro Ito, who plays Schop, has been cast in Bleach, Boruto, One Piece, Naruto, and more. Sho Hayami has previously played roles in Assassination classroom, Digimon, Shokugeki no Souma and others.
An interview with Kentaro Ito and Sho Hayami has also been revealed on the website. In the interview, Ito confesses that he was quite surprised at having to play the role of a mole. It is his first time playing a small animal’s role, but he liked the character as he read more about it.
Sho Hayami commented that playing a crow that can be seen almost every day is a first for him. He would like to express the character’s wit through his voice and hopes to see further development in the plot.
In a previously posted PV, Daisuki Ono was revealed to be playing the character of Paan Ko Paat.
