Fire Force Chapter 248: Release Date, Delay, Discussions

From the very beginning, Amaterasu was intended as a tool to bring about a cataclysm. All of the pillars have gone to Adolla, and soon this world might become the second sun.

Lisa tried to stop Giovanni, but her attacks won’t make him budge him, as his whole body is made up of bugs. However, Vulcan has a plan to deal with him.

At this point, no one has any idea what may come, neither Vulcan, Yu, nor the fans. As we anticipate how this fight might turn out to be, here are the updates on the next chapter of Fire Force.

1. Chapter 248 Discussions and Predictions

The Pillars have reached Adolla, and it looks like Shinra is stationary and acting as an actual Pillar. All that’s left now is for the key to be inserted.

It looks like the Joseph clan knew about Evangelist as they hid the key. Maybe they were not as enlightened on the plans as much as Giovanni’s ancestor, but they must’ve caught up to the fact that it would bring about destruction when they found a girl was stuffed inside it.

Chapter 248 of the Fire Force manga, titled “A Lifeforce Dispersed”, has been released on Sunday, Dec 27, 2020.

Fire Force manga is published under Weekly Shonen Magazine, which comes out every Sunday. Yes, Fire Force is on a break this week and will be releasing on the week following the next week.

3. Where to Read Fire Force

Fire Force is a very popular series and well-received even outside Japan. Despite being so popular, Fire Force remains a Japanese-only manga, and no official release with English translations is available.

All the available English versions of the manga are fan translated, and we strongly recommend that you purchase the volumes instead of using pirated sites to support the Mangaka and the franchise.

4. Chapter 248 Raw Scans, Leaks

Raw Scans for chapter 248 of the Fire Force have not been released yet. These scans usually come up on the internet 2-3 days prior to weekly release.

5. Chapter 247 Recap

The fight between Vulcan and Giovanni continues. Vulcan calls Licht for back up, but he’s got his hands full, out at the gate. Licht tells Vulcan to hang on for a while as they find out a way to make it to them.

Lisa tries to block Giovanni with her tentacles, but it goes through his body and has no effect on him. Giovanni shares that it was Vulcan’s ancestors, the Joseph Clan, that helped Giovanni in building Amaterasu 250 years ago.

During the construction of Amaterasu, both of Giovanni’s and Vulcan’s ancestors were responsible for power generation.

But the Joseph’s noticed its true threat and hid away the key to Amaterasu’s true power. It was Giovanni who murdered them by turning them into infernals for denying the will of Adolla.

Lisa’s constant efforts to bring down Giovanni goes in vain as his whole body is made up of bugs.

Vulcans shares that he has a plan to take him down and asks Yu for the machine. He asks Lisa to stick a tentacle in it, which disrupts the magnetic field which Giovanni was using to command the bugs.

With all the bugs gone, Giovanni reveals his true identity as a pathetic bug himself.

6. About Fire Force

Fire Force, also known as En’en no Shōbōtai, literally meaning “Blazing Firefighting Corps,” is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo.  

It is published by Kodansha and has been serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 2015, with the chapters collected into twenty-three tankōbon volumes as of May 2020.  

An anime television series adaptation by David Production aired from July to December 2019 on the Super Animeism block. The second season of the Fire Force anime television series is also animated by David Production.  

Tatsumi Minakawa replaced Yuki Yase to be the director of the series. The series premiered on July 3, 2020.
