Yesterday, thanks to Microsoft and Gamescom 2021, fans finally got a confirmed release date for Halo Infinite.
The highly-anticipated (and much delayed) sixth installment in the Halo franchise will arrive on December 8 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Halo Infinite will be the first title in the series to arrive for PC at launch, and now, Microsoft has revealed what specs will be required to run the game.
Additionally, the tech giant has also outlined that the game “has been built for PC” and will support 4K resolution, up to 120fps, and significantly reduced load times on compatible tech.
Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements for Halo Infinite on PC:
Minimum Specs | Recommended Specs | |
OS | Windows 10 RS3 x64 | Windows 10 19H2 x64 |
Processor | AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440 | AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k |
Memory | 8 GB | 16 GB |
Graphics | AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti | Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070 |
DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
GPU VRam | 4 GB | 6 GB |
Storage | 50 GB | 50 GB |
Microsoft neglected to reveal the resolutions players can expect on either of the above specs, but we’re guessing the more high-end your set-up, the better the output.
The Xbox Series X|S would be the ideal platform to play the game on the console front, but an Xbox One won’t be so bad either.
During the game’s tech test, performance on old-gen consoles was not up to the mark, but developer 343 Industries will likely make the necessary improvements by launch.
