Raegan Revord’s Missy Starts Filming For Young Sheldon S5

Owing to the pandemic, Young Sheldon Season 5 will air in October, a little later than its usual September release. Filming reels are finally rolling, as Reagan Revord who plays Missy in the show shares behind-the-scenes from the set.

Here’s the video Revord posted on her Instagram.

The actor is seen arriving on set and goes through the mandated Covid-testing, after which we have a glimpse of Missy’s wardrobe tent and a few cut scenes from the set. It is safe to say that filming for the new season has commenced!

Revord plays the young Missy Cooper, fraternal twin to Sheldon in the Big Bang Theory spin-off. We’ve met Melissa in the original series a handful of times, but enough so to know that the twin is different from her genius brother.

This dynamic has been really on-screen with Revord’s Missy, who may not be academically gifted but is nonetheless charming, fun and gives young Sheldon a run for his money sometimes.

The last time we saw Missy in Season 4, she was encountering boy trouble for the first time. But it slowly got caught up in a tide much bigger, which lead to the Cooper parents (Mary and George Cooper played by Zoe Perry and Lance Barber) to have a big argument.

Season 4 left us on a cliff, dangling the question of whether George Copper will have an extramarital affair. The air between the Cooper parents has been sour for a while, but we believe, since there are three more seasons left, their situation will be dealt with at a slower pace.

As it did in Season 4, we may also get more Missy and brother George Jr-centric plots. Both the characters are amusing on-screen and we’d love to see more of their lives.

Season 4 of Young Sheldon is set to air on October 7.
