The Survivors Fight PADRE in Fear the Walking Dead S8 E2 Trailer

Next week’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead season 8 will dive deeper into the lives of the core survivors and their looming clash with PADRE.

The season opener took us seven years into the future, where Morgan’s daughter Mo, now called Wren by PADRE, discovered her true identity and how she ended up in the mysterious community. The episode also dropped a bombshell that Morgan and Grace, now going by the aliases Nightingale and Heron, have infiltrated PADRE.

Now, we’ve been treated with a new trailer before the release of episode 2. Watch it here:

That’s a solid 30 second worth of dopamine rush! The trailer teases exciting moments from the next episode and the rest of the season. This gives us a better look at what’s to come in the impending battle with PADRE.

The season 8 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead revealed that PADRE was snatching kids to brainwash them into their community, teaching them to kill zombies and stay faithful. However, Madison’s blood being drained regularly, along with Mo’s murky parentage, suggests PADRE has many secrets yet to be unfurled. 

Mo will likely start to doubt her allegiance to the community as more truths come to light in the upcoming episodes.

The seven-year time jump of Fear the Walking Dead season 8 left many mysteries about the fate of the characters. 

While Morgan and Grace are undercover in PADRE and Madison is a captive, the other characters’ fates are still very cloudy. However, the new trailer shows that June, Dwight, Sherry, and Daniel are still alive and will surely have crucial roles in the final chapters of Fear the Walking Dead.

As Fear the Walking Dead wraps up Morgan’s saga, it’s unclear if PADRE will affect the broader world of The Walking Dead. With spinoffs featuring major characters from the main series on the way, PADRE could have a role in shaping the franchise’s future. 

However, it’s also possible that PADRE is just the big bad of Fear the Walking Dead season 8, and it will be made obsolete the moment this series ends.
