The Star Wars world is expanding each year, adding more spinoffs to the list which focus on stories untold. The Mandalorian returns with season 3 in March 2023, and even before its premiere, showrunner Jon Favreau teased great crossovers from upcoming shows set in the same era in season 4 and onward.
In an interview with BFMTV Inside, the producer and writer offered insight into the Disney+ series, saying that the script for season 4 is already complete. The showrunner added that the season 4 script was written keeping in mind that Ahsoka Tano’s live-action and Skeleton Crew are currently in development and will thus share similar consistencies.

And then [Dave Filoni’s] doing Ahsoka, which I’m producing with him, but he’s the writer and showrunner on that. And so, to understand what’s happening on other shows or even Skeleton Crew, they all take place in the same Star Wars time period. So, there are a lot more things that we have to keep in mind and stuff that we’ve built up to from previous seasons of The Mandalorian as well.
Favreau’s comment may not have outright confirmed crossovers from the aforementioned shows, but he did all but assure the fandom that since they’ll be sharing the same stage, there’s a possibility they might share the same screen at the same time too.
The Mandalorian has already featured a few cameos from other shows, including Rosario Dawson’s live-action Ahsoka Tano, who’s getting her own Disney+ show soon, and The Book of Boba Fett’s titular character.
Now that Tano’s live-action and Skeleton Crew are confirmed to be set in the same timeline and period, we can expect several crossovers, whether in dialogue or special appearances.
The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere on March 1, 2023, exclusively on Disney+. How excited are you to see Pascal’s Mandalorian and Grogu’s new adventures on the streaming platform?
