A new adventure series is arriving with a ‘family-centric’ theme. ‘My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer’ shares the warm bond of two adventurers. One is a veteran swordsman, while the other is his adoptive daughter, who is just as skilled.
The anime was announced last November, and nothing was revealed until now. The staff has now revealed major details on Father’s Day, which sounds fitting.
On Sunday, the official website for the ‘My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer’ anime released its first teaser and visual. It also revealed the main cast and staff. The anime will premiere this fall.
In the video, Belgrieve finds a baby in the woods and takes her home. Then we see Angeline slaying a wyvern. Despite having a serious expression during missions, she also displays childlike behavior otherwise when her father is mentioned. We also see Belgrieve in action and reading Angeline’s letter.

The father-daughter theme makes it a bit more heartfelt than its other adventure-fantasy counterparts. I am looking forward to seeing Angeline’s team, and Belgrieve work together. There should be more to the story, but it looks like a relaxing watch as of now.

My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer (Bōkensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S-Ranku ni Natteta) is a light novel series written by Mojikakiya and illustrated by toi8. It was launched by Earth Star Entertainment in February 2018 and ended in November 2021.
The light novels have been collected into 11 volumes. It has also been adapted into a manga and is slated for an anime adaptation.
The story follows Belgrieve, and his adoptive daughter Angeline, who he found in a forest as a baby. Belgrieve trains Angeline in swordsmanship and she went on to become an S-class adventurer. Now after 5 years, Angeline is returning to her village and her father but not without some difficulty in her path.
