The franchise has numerous manga series, and it all started with its first manga series called the Fate/Grand Order – mortalis:stella. It is based on the Prologue and a couple of other episodes of the whole franchise and is one of the best out there.

Recently, the Fate/Grand Order – mortalis:stella series finished its most famous arc called the First Singularity: The Wicked Dragon Hundred Years’ War: Orleans arc.

It was also announced in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum Magazine that a new spin-off manga chapter will be published on July 28, 2021.

It is poetic and dramatic in the sense that the conclusion of one chapter marked the beginning of another, much like the series itself.

The whole series dives deep into the world of magic, philosophy, religion, and fantasy, carefully fabricating it all into one action-packed series and a fantastic plot.

The whole mortalis:stella series takes us through the first, second, fourth, sixth, and eighth singularities that occur throughout the history of humankind.

The protagonists of the Fate/Grand Order series, Ritsuka Fujimaru, and Mash Kyrielight, travel throughout time to different singularities to prevent the Human Order Incineration Incident, i.e., the death of humanity.

The time Ritsuka and Mash landed was the  First Singularity arc or the Orleans Singularity, set in France, 1431 AD. It takes place shortly after Jeanne d’Arc was burned at the stake. Gilles de Rais attempts to resurrect Jeanne with the help of the Holy Grail but ends up creating a new Jeanne out of the Grail instead.

This leads to the creation of a Singularity in history which Ritsuka and Mash must prevent at all costs.

The end is what everyone would expect, with a unique twist involving Jeanne and Gilles. Ritsuka and Mash ultimately correct the mistake made by Gilles, but their journey and sacrifices they had to make are worth the read.

If you got curious about the manga’s spinoff, then I suggest you start reading before the next arc begins!

It goes without saying that the manga’s physical volume appeals much more to the aesthetic sense with its cover and extra artworks. Lastly, subscribe to the blog for even more interesting news on anime and manga!
