Farming Metal Accelerants- How to get and use them in The First Descendants?

Players can get a lot of characters in First Descendants for free. They can also be purchased with real money, but that is no fun at all. The real enjoyment of the game lies in its grinding part, where you farm different materials to unlock new descendants and weapons. 

Metal Accelerants are one of the resources that players need to farm to unlock new characters. However, it can sometimes be tedious if one doesn’t know the right location to get them.  

1. How to get Metal Accelerants in The First Descendants?

Metal Accelerants in The First Descendant are scattered throughout the Sterile Land and can be found in Munitions and Resource Boxes. They are very easy to find and get restocked whenever players teleport from one place to another.

1.1 Metal Accelerants Farming Route

Farming in Ironworks is the smartest move, as plenty of boxes exist at this location. There are also very few enemies, which makes farming hassle-free. You should use Bunny as your character during grinding because she can run quickly from one place to another and clear enemies faster with her ult. 

For an effortless farm, you can teleport to the location shown in the above image. There will be plenty of boxes around the outpost that give Metal Accelerants, and it is very easy to find them. Once you have collected some materials, remember the exact spots where they are located. Teleport somewhere else and return to the same spots to find them restocked. 

Note: Don’t farm the entire region. Rather, pick a specific area and farm it over and over as much as you want. That way, it will be less time-consuming.  

You’ll also get a generous supply of the Superfluid item, which serves many of the same purposes as the Metal Accelerant. This makes it highly worthwhile as you are farming two similar items simultaneously. 

2. How to Use Metal Accelerants in The First Descendant?

Metal Accelerants are used to create Enhanced Cells, Spiral Catalysts, and Stabilizers, which are essential components for crafting new Descendants and weapons in the game.

To craft Descendants, go to the main hub and visit Anais. Navigate to the menu featuring Descendants and Weapons to see which ones require Metal Accelerants. 

Currently, Gley, Lepic, Valby, and Kyle are the only four characters that require Metal Accelerants to be unlocked. If you’re not interested in crafting Descendants, you can consider crafting weapons instead.
