“Farewell, My Dear Cramer, First Touch” is an upcoming soccer anime film for sports anime lovers. It is also set for an anime series adaptation in April 2021.
Tired of the usual sports mangas and the genre being heavily dominated by males? Farewell, My Dear Cramer will be a pleasant break for you.
Not only does it have a female protagonist, but it also follows her journey of breaking one conservative norm after another.
A new trailer was released for the “Farewell, My Dear Cramer, First Touch” film. The film will be released on 1st April 2021 in Japanese theatres.
Although the animation quality doesn’t bowl us over in the trailer, we are yet to lose hope in the series. The trailer shows Nozomi’s resolve to play soccer.
She is always faced with opponents who are on a higher level than her or boys who are physically more fit. Yet she doesn’t give up on her dream.
The theatres which will premiere the movie will be offering the first batch of tickets starting 25th December. A clear file and an exclusive illustration will also be bundled with the movie ticket card.
Sayonara, Football is the prequel to Farewell, My Dear Cramer, the main series, by Naoshi Arakawa. It follows Nozomi in junior high school.
Sayonara Football focuses on Nozomi Onda and her middle school life as an only girl playing in a boy’s soccer team.
Farewell, My Dear Cramer follows not only Nozomi but some other talented players like Sumire Suo, Soshizaki, and Eriko Tase.

About Farewell, My Dear Cramer
Naoshi Arakawa’s Farewell, My Dear Cramer is a manga about women’s association football. It is the main series to the prequel, Sayonara, Football.
The plot follows Nozomi Onda, as she goes to junior high school and faces even tougher challenges as a girl soccer player. Her rival, Midori offers her to join the same team. She meets other girls who are also equally talented at the sport.
