In Episode 11 of the ‘Farewell, My Dear Cramer’ anime, coach Gotoda finally recognized the strengths of Nozomi, the Jizo statue.
Nozomi impressed everyone at both sides of the field, twice. First when she took the ball past two mid-fielders of the opposing team by using Dragan Stojković.
The second time was when she joggled the ball all the way to the other side of the field, not allowing the waterlogged pitch to kill her speed. We also got to have an insight into her past.
In the end, there was a beautiful narration by Echizen about athletese being lone wolves.
We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.
1. Episode 12 Preview & Speculation
At this point, I think it would be wise if Gotoda could change the strategies and middle fielders. However, that’s not possible. Therefore, we can guess the obvious result of the match. But apart from this, it seems to me that Gotoda has already accepted their loss.
Namek, the tall boy with brown hair, who was cheering very excitedly for Nozomi, seems to be more than just the audience. I hope to get a better picture of Nozomi’s relationship with him in the upcoming episodes.
Nozomi’s strategies impressed everyone. On the other hand, Chika is a beast herself. The next episode will finally let the viewers know about the much-hyped ending of this match.

3. Episode 11 Recap
As the next half of the match is about to begin, Naoko realizes the opposing team’s strength. Meanwhile, with the rain pouring, it becomes difficult to play in the field. When the match begins, Nozomi targets Chika with Goro’s instructions in mind.
Goro tells Naoko that they need to counterattack to score against Urawa. He further explains his plan where Nozomi will keep Number 26 busy, who usually cuts all their counterattacks. Back at the field, Nozomi manages to take the ball past two mid-fielders of the opposing team by using Dragan Stojković.
As she moves forward towards the goal, the puddles and waterlogged pitch kill her speed. However, Nozomi keeps juggling the ball. She faces the last line of defense and kicks the ball after getting past Ayame Ebina, but the ball hits the net post and curves away.
Echizen reveals that Nozomi used to be in the Boys’ soccer team in middle school. Even though she was not allowed to play, she practiced hard and could joggle the ball for the longest time.
The game continues, and Nozomi gets the ball again. But, Chika manages to block her pass again, which makes the ball stop dead. Suddenly, Suou jumps from behind and takes over the ball while the rest of the fielders tries to catch her.
Suo then passes the ball to Tase, who then passes it to Shiratori. Meanwhile, Coach Gotoda realizes that the advantage they had with Chika’s mobility is no more as she can’t defend anywhere else while sticking close to Nozomi.
As Nozomi and Chika face off again, Chika trips her down. But Soshizaki takes the ball from behind and passes it to Suou. The episode ends with Echizen’s narration that athletes are lone wolves, but that doesn’t mean they’re alone. They have their teammates and their opponents.
