1. Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
Nozomi getting excited to play to the point where she can’t sleep is funny and relatable. The part where Shiratori scores by just standing there is the best part. It’s also nice to see the girls bond a little bit with Tsukuda and Ito from Kunogi.
The kits are pretty clean, but too bad they are based in England, so we know the Warabis are not going to win.
It seems like Goro sensei has a reason why he acts the way he does. Based on the preview of the next episode, we’ll probably find that out next week.

The same night, Nozomi couldn’t sleep because she is way too excited to wear her new uniform in the next match. So, she goes out for a jog. After coming back from the jog, she is still not able to sleep.
The following morning, she arrives at the match sleep-deprived. They play against Asaka Trade, who was placed third in the preliminaries last year. Nozomi accidentally headbutts the ball into the opponent’s goal, and therefore the girls lose the match.
In preparation for the next match, five boys from the boys’ team are asked to practice with the girls’ team.
Naoko decides to have Makoto, Rui, Ayumu, and Saori, try the offensive role in the next match as the defenders.
When the girls ask her about what to do next, she asks Goro to teach them defense. But he refuses and says that it’s a hassle and leaves.
After the boys leave the pitch, the girls do some stretching exercises except Nozomi. She kicks the balls into a goal. Midori, Sumire, and Sawa walks up to her and tell her that it’s enough for a day.
They ask her to stop. But, Nozomi refuses and reminds them of their goal, and she continues to kick. She says that she wants to play against Kunogi again in the nationals. The rest of the girls agree.
