Episode 8 Recap
This episode starts with Shen traveling with Jinguuji and Tachibana. Tachibana finds Shen’s presence odd while he prepares a meal. Jinguuji reveals to Tachibana that to gain EXP points, one can be in contact with an attack.
After their meal, when Tachibana uses the washroom, Jinguuji questions Shen’s true motive. Shen then reveals he added something to Jinguuji’s stew, making him weak. As Tachibana gets back, she finds the commotion with Shen and Jinguuji.
Jinguuji tells Tachibana to run for they are in trouble, but Tachibana feels they get into trouble due to her cuteness. Surprisingly Shen says that Tachibana isn’t cute, which provokes her. Tachibana tries to charm Shen with her cuteness, but Shen only gets agitated.
With things escalating, Tachibana realizes Shen is after Jinguuji. As Shen approaches Jinguuji, he starts giving him a massage which confuses Tachibana and Jinguuji. With things settling down, Shen wonders how they uncovered his secret identity.
Afterward, the trio reaches Ishruna, the royal capital, and Shen suggests he guide them since he knows the place well. Since the protagonists are looking to get intel on the Demon King, they are guided to the temple of Goddess of Love and Beauty.
Jinguuji imagined the temple as a night pool party since they follow the stupid goddess but is mistaken. Oddly, Jinguuji and Tachibana find the outfit to enter the chapel extremely revealing. Later as they enter the chapel, they find a pool party as Jinguuji imagined.
Jinguuji is annoyed and wants to erase the building for such a display. The lady who guided them finds Tachibana having the goddess’s crest and starts to stir up concerns. Everyone approaches Tachibana thinking she committed something terrible, according to the beliefs.
Jinguuji manages to defend Tachibana while explaining the goddess gave the crest to them without a choice. The followers try to attack Jinguuji for saying such things, but he counters them back. While Jinguuji tries to find out about the prophecy, the followers find it absurd.
Suddenly a mysterious woman appears and reveals Tachibana and Jinguuji are heroes summoned by the goddess. The woman then tells everyone to follow the royal decree of not getting in the hero’s way.
