Ubisoft recently announced several new titles, including Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, as part of Project Infinity. Assassin’s Creed Red is a shinobi-themed action-adventure game set in Feudal Japan, a location fans have requested for a long time.
A fan published an Unreal Engine 5 concept video for Assassin’s Creed Codename Red which featured the open-world setting of Feudal Japan.
The surreal video by TeaserPlay just goes on to show how much potential the Unreal Engine 5 has. The maker has used Nanite and Lumen for the video and Aguilar model for the character.
This is just a small-scale trailer. Ubisoft will likely use its Ubisoft Anvil engine to develop the game as done with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The official reveal trailer for Red shows a shinobi assassin leaping onto a roof and unsheathing their signature blade. This short clip was enough to send fans into a frenzy.
TeaserPlay is known to make concept videos imagining what hypothetical games would look like. Although, in this case, Assassin’s Creed Codename Red does indeed exist. A couple of months ago, the channel released a video for Assassin’s Creed Infinity, visualizing the game in a Feudal Japan setting.
It garnered a hugely positive response, totaling over 2 million views and numerous comments hoping for Ubisoft to create an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan. Several wishes have come true with the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red.
Currently, Ubisoft is dedicated to promoting Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is scheduled to launch in 2023. Given the hectic timeline, it might be some time before we see Assassin’s Creed Red in action.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is in development.
