Fallout: Wasteland Warfare’s New Expansion is upon Us

Modiphius Entertainment has announced the next expansion for its tabletop RPG, Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, titled ‘Into the Wasteland’.

Into the Wasteland will see the players take on the role of the Wanderer from the video games to provide new players with a chance to experience all the dangers and mysteries that the Wasteland has to offer!

According to the official blog post for the game, Into the Wasteland will expand the current set’s scenarios and make the game more expansive than ever before.

“Right from the start of designing Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, it was important that the scenarios deliver a wealth of variety and depth of story – not only is that fun, it’s also right at the heart of the Fallout experience and is what Adventure Wargaming is all about. Right from the tutorial scenarios, I’ve written scenarios to demolish an overpass, re-start a factory, escape into a sewer, find and help a fugitive being hunted, race to clear a town of hazards, and lots more. This is the same for solo and co-operative play too as the AI can perform any objective, rather than be limited just to attacking.”

Whatever the case may be, Wasteland Warfare will undoubtedly be chock full of new content once this expansion launches.

He also stated that the enemy AI would be much more diverse in terms of its actions and “just wait to attack the players.” They will go about their own tasks as well, such as gathering, hunting, farming, and more.

The primary campaign will have the players journey across the Wasteland in a race to save their comrades, supported by Unit Cards, which will contain information about the world’s inhabitants.

From the looks of it, Into the Wasteland will be a fantastic addition to Wasteland Warfare and will be as expansive as it gets.

While no release date has been announced as of yet, it is due to release next week in a digital, print-and-play format due to the ongoing pandemic. So, make sure to check it out, especially if you’re into Fallout: Wasteland Warfare!
