In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there are many side-quests in the form of Mysteries spread throughout the British Isles. While most of them are pretty straightforward, some can be trickier to solve than others.
One such Mystery sits right in the center of Lunden, called Falling Stars. The Mystery tasks Eivor with helping three members of a particular band to make their show happen at the right place and at the right time. This Mystery rewards you with 1200 XP. However, finding and helping these members out is just what makes this Mystery a tricky one to solve.
Not to mention, there’s a particular glitch attached to this Mystery where the NPCs will not act in the desired manner (For example – Cynewulf might refuse to leave his Cage) or will be absent from their locations altogether.
(Note: According to an official Ubisoft Forum, the glitch stands fixed with the game’s Title Update 1.2.2. However, if it still happens, try reloading the game once/come back to the Mystery later/communicate the same on the Official Forums if nothing else works)
Anyway, that major glitch aside, we still need to discuss how to complete this Mystery. Before we go right into the details of it all, though, let me give you a quick TL; DR on how to finish the “Falling Stars” Mystery in AC Valhalla.
In the Falling Stars Mystery, you need to locate the members of The Gleemen – a letter near the stage area would inform you of their locations. Once you find and convince them to get back together, interact with the crowd near the stage to see them play and finish the questline.
So, how do we do all that? Let’s find out.
First and foremost, here’s where you’ll find this particular Mystery – as I’ve mentioned above, it’s right in the middle of Lunden, to the west of Lundinium Amphitheatre.
When you reach this place, you’ll see some girls crying at the center. If you read the letter nearby, you’ll find that The Gleemen have disbanded, and the three members have gone separate ways.
Another letter would be lying about that hints you where the members may be. So, your task is to locate them and bring them back together.
With that, let’s look at where these three band members are and how to get them back, one by one.
Cynewulf – Location and How to Get Her Back
So, this poor gal got herself arrested by the guards and put in the west area of Crepelgate Fort. It’s a heavily guarded area, so I would not recommend going in guns blazing if you are not on the right level. Instead, move around the place all sneaky-peaky, and once you come across her cage, open it up and ask her to rejoin the band.
Cynewulf would agree to what you propose, and now, you can move on to the rest of the band’s members.
Kitt – Location and How to Get Her Back
So, finding Kitt is actually much easier than finding Cynewulf. Near St. Paul’s Cathedral, you’ll see Kitt playing lyre – talk to her, and you’ll get to know that she’s in debt, and without paying it off, she cannot get back to the band.
Pay her debt of 50 silvers, and ask her to rejoin The Gleemen – she’ll agree to it, and now, you can go and convince Ysane to join the band.
Ysane – Location and How to Get Her Back
This one’s way easier than the previous two. So, Ysane sits right outside of the western walls of Lunden, near the river. Once you speak to her, she’ll ask you for a topic to write a poem on. Whichever option you pick, she’ll simply agree to rejoin the band.
With all that done, you’ve finally brought The Gleemen back together. All that’s left to do now is to go back to the stage area and interact with the audience to see their performance.
Once you’ve done that as well, you’ll finally be done with the Mystery, receiving a reward of 1200 XP in return. It isn’t all that much, but hey, The Gleemen’s performance made all that time and effort worth it, wouldn’t you agree?
