With the fall season just a month away, the anticipation for Platinum End could not be any higher. The supernatural among us death match story from the creators of Death Note already has everyone on edge.
The manga somehow flew surprisingly under the radar for a series by Ohba and Obata. That might have been the case, but they are not pulling any punches for the anime. They will make sure that you know about it.
The official website for Platinum End anime has released the second trailer for the anime. The upcoming anime will debut on October 8, 2021.
The PV begins with God sending out his 13 angels to select the next candidates for the position. Mirai, the main character, is then saved by an angel and thrown into the mix. Despite his position, he does not want to kill anyone and contemplates how to do without it.
The PV also features the opening theme “Sense” by BAND-MAID. The ending theme for the series “Surrender Theory” will be performed by Yu Miyashita.

The visual features five of the thirteen God candidates: Mirai Kakehasi, Kanade Uryu, Nanato Mukaidou, Saki Hanakago, and Hajime Sokotani.
Although there are a few things like all the angels and gods that may remind you of their previous work, this is an entirely different story style. Mirai, in many ways, is anti-Light Yagami. He decides not to kill anyone to become a god when bestowed with otherworldly power.
Even though the premise is direct and easily understandable, the creators will have their ways to make things more interesting. Expect great things from this one.
