There is nothing really left to be said about the behemoth that the Demon Slayer anime has become. The series just seems to break records left and right, be it anime, movie or the manga.
Although we are in a period of calm when it comes to the series, season 2 of the anime is lingering around the corner. There isn’t an official release date yet, but it may come sooner than you might think.
The official website for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba anime has announced that season 2 of the anime will air in two cours this fall and winter season.
Season 2 titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc will air every Sunday night at 11.15 pm on Fuji TV.
This means that new episodes will be available early on Monday in the US. You will be able to watch the episodes at around 11:00 am on Funimation.
A follow-up announcement is also scheduled for September 25, 2021. We do not know the exact details yet, but it will most probably be the official release date for the upcoming season.
This will pick up from right where the movie left off. Tanjiro will visit Rengoku’s home to deliver his last words and pay his respects. After that, we jump straight into the namesake Entertainment District arc.
This arc has some of the best things the series has to offer. From insane action, a flamboyant Hashira to lore surrounding the demons, and an Upper Moon Demon, this arc has it all. So, do not even think about missing this one!
About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 and ended in May 2020 with 23 collected tankōbon volumes.
In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.
As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
