Super Bowl 2021 gave Marvel fans a second trailer for the upcoming series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and it is packed! Two familiar faces from the Captain America movies are returning, and we couldn’t be more excited because the stakes are higher this time. Will Sam and Bucky be able to do justice to Steve Rogers’ legacy?
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Steve handed over his shield to Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, and the new series will see him and Steve’s childhood buddy, Bucky, trying to keep his legacy alive while on a global mission.
Check out the trailer below:
The first trailer had revealed that Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) from Captain America: Civil War would be back in the series, and now we finally get a look at his costume. Well, just the mask, as he continues with his mission from Civil War—to exterminate superheroes.
A different version of Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) is also featured in the trailer as we see her as a fugitive. It looks like she is getting some major action sequences this time.
But the big surprise in the trailer comes when we see that Sam and Bucky not getting along. Sam’s plan-as-we-go attitude clashes with Bucky’s plan-before-we-go nature, and it creates some good ol’ fashioned communication trouble.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premieres on Disney+ on March 15, 2021, and will have six one-hour long episodes, which will culminate into a series finale on April 23.
