A few months ago, the official website of Fairy Tail revealed a shocking update that Fairy Tail will soon come to an end.

The End of Fairy Tail

The official website for the Fairy Tail anime confirmed that the anime’s cast recorded the 328th and final episode’s dialogue. The episode is untitled for now and will be aired on 29th September 2019.

The anime’s website also reveals that the last episode features over 65 characters. Fairy Tail’s Official Twitter account added that the 60 assembled cast members could not fit in the recording booth at the same time!

Last December they also said that they would release the “Fairy Tail Ultimate Collection” series, which will include the entire Fairy Tail television anime on Blu-ray. The box set will have 277 episodes of the previous series plus 51 “planned” episodes for the current Final Season — for a total of 328 planned episodes. 

Also, Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the anime with English subtitles. Furthermore, Funimation will begin streaming the English dub on 29th October.

Fairy Tail Plot

Lucy Heartfilia, a travelling mage, meets Natsu Dragneel – a mage looking for his foster parent with his dragon named Igneel and his best friend Happy- a blue cat who can talk and fly. Shortly, after their meeting, Lucy is abducted by Bora of Prominence, who was pretending to be a Salamander of Fairy Tail. Bora abducted her because he wants to sell Lucy Heartfilia as a slave. So, Natsu rescues her and reveals that he is the real Salamander of Fairy Tail and he has the skills of a dragon slayer. Then, he offers her membership into the guild, which she gladly accepts. They, along with the armoured mage Erza Scarlet, Static Ice-Make mage Gray Fullbuster and Happy, become a team performing various missions offered to the Fairy Tail Guild.
