Fairy Tale is a Shonen franchise that has been held in high regard by its viewers since its inception. As the manga ended, it showed us an end for the anime. Even though the story will live on in a sequel as Fairy Tale: 100 Years Quest, the original TV series in its final season has only one episode left. The team behind the show has hyped the end of the series by adding a bit of nostalgia and it has worked as the long-time fans of the show are feeling very emotional about the end.
The staff of Fairy Tale has posted a brand new piece of artwork in their effort to make the fans nostalgic. The drawing is green with red highlights portraying the Fairy Tale Guild members. In the front, Makarov is seen throwing up a peace sign alongside Erza to his right. To the other side, Wendy is looking adorable with some horns sprouting from her head, and Marijane is standing just behind her. Others like Levy can be seen in the artwork. Carla is seen in the photo along with her Panther Lily. Even though we can see Gajeel’s Exceed in the image, Gajeel himself is nowhere to be found.
Despite being a welcome surprise for the fans, this artwork is a sad reminder as well. The series that’s been running since 2009 on TV and since 2006 in the Weekly Shonen Magazine is one episode away from its end. The sequel, Fairy Tale: 100 Years Quest is already in its first saga at this point and fans are loving the storyline exploring the God Dragons.

In the mystical land of Fiore, magic exists as an essential part of everyday life. Countless magic guilds lie at the core of all magical activity, and serve as venues for like-minded mages to band together and take on job requests. Among them, Fairy Tail stands out from the rest as a place of strength, spirit, and family. Lucy Heartfilia is a young mage searching for celestial gate keys, and her dream is to become a full-fledged wizard by joining this famous guild. In her search, she runs into Natsu Dragneel and his partner Happy, who are on a quest to find Natsu’s foster father, the dragon Igneel. Upon being tricked by a man, Lucy is almost abducted, only to be saved by Natsu. To her shock, he reveals that he is a member of Fairy Tail and invites her to join them. There, Lucy meets the guild’s strange members, such as the ice wizard Gray Fullbuster and magic swordswoman Erza Scarlet. Together as a family, they battle the forces of evil, help those in need, and gain new friends, all the while enjoying the never-ending adventure that is Fairy Tail.
