Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest is the continuation of the original manga that ended back in 2017. The manga is a sequel that aims to resolve the cliffhangers from its predecessor.
Mangaka Hiro Mashima took a backseat and is acting as the supervisor to Atsuo Ueda, the author of the 100 Year Quest.
Ever since the new manga started publishing, fans have been looking forward to the anime adaptation of the same. The 100 Year Quest arc could become the newest installment of the Fairy Tail anime.
Fairy Tail takes place in Fiore, a magical kingdom where wizards and witches make a livelihood by forming guilds and helping people with certain tasks.
Our protagonist, Natsu Dragneel, is a part of the Fairy Tail guild along with Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Wendy Marvell, and Happy.
Every Season we see the Fairy Tail guild coming face to face with their troubling personal pasts and dark, illegal guilds. The ecchi anime is hilarious, with peculiar and unique characters to keep the viewers entertained throughout the series!
1. Release Date
Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest still hasn’t received a release date. Since the manga is still ongoing, we expect to see the latest installment in its animated glory by Summer or Fall 2022.
The manga releases two chapters weekly, so it’s only a matter of time that it gets enough chapters for an anime adaptation.
As of March 7, 2021, there are 76 chapters in the 100 Year Quest manga. Season 3 adapted 125 chapters so, the creators will wait at least till the new manga chapters hit a century.

Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest is a direct sequel to the last chapter of the original manga.
By the end of the Final Series, Natsu and the team had already decided to set off on the 100 Year Quest, a seemingly impossible quest that no other guild had accomplished before.
Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest would introduce us to three new mages who would join Fairy Tail only to leave it soon after as Laxus Dreyar makes his return and scares them off. A potential competitor for Natsu’s affection also makes her way into the guild!

Fairy Tail is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima.
During his journey to explore the Kingdom of Fiore, Natsu Dragneel, a dragon slayer wizard from the Fairy Tail guild, becomes friends with a young celestial wizard named Lucy Heartfilia and invites her to join Fairy Tail.
Lucy agrees and forms a team with Natsu and his cat-like partner, Happy. The team was later joined by other members: Gray Fullbuster, an ice wizard; Erza Scarlet, a magical knight; and Wendy Marvell and Carla, another dragon slayer and Exceed duo.
