Netflix will be giving F Is For Family a fifth and final season to wrap up its story. The high strung and delicately offensive Murphy family is coming back to screens to entertain everyone with their 70s lifestyle. The final season of the black comedy will drop on the streaming platform in 2021.
F Is For Family comes in a long series of animated sitcoms on Netflix. But unlike many others on that list, F Is For Family is genuinely enjoyable throughout its four seasons. The series is set in a time when there were fewer rules in the world and parents were surprisingly laidback.
The show beautifully portrays what it is like living with family-the struggles and the loving gestures all included. It is an adult comedy, but it purposefully leaves out the resentful characters and the bitterness found in most shows of the genre.
F Is For Family is semi-autobiographical – the creators’ Mike Price and Bill Burr based most of the show on their own childhood experiences in the 70s. Burr also does a brilliant job in voicing Frank Murphy, the slightly rude and mostly angry patriarch of the Murphy family.
If you have not watched F Is For Family yet, the lockdown period will be the best time to watch it. This family sitcom can never be more honest and relatable.

Set in 1970s America, F Is For Family follows the Murphy family of Rustvale, Pennsylvania. It is an amazingly honest look at the trials and tribulations of family life.
The parents in this sitcom are Francis X Murphy, who goes by Frank, and Sue. Frank is a Korean war veteran and Sue is a budding entrepreneur, together they are trying to raise their children Kevin, Bill and Maureen, in the America of the 1970s.
