However, as per the rumors, Arrowhead studios are now planning to introduce a third enemy faction, the Illuminate, to prevent the game from getting monotonous.

The Illuminate has been a key enemy faction in Helldivers 1. They are a species of powerful creatures who are highly sophisticated. These creatures are usually dressed in ceremonial robes and have managed to create a vast and extremely complex neural network for space travel.
The Illuminate are so advanced that they have even produced weapons of mass destruction which are an imminent danger to the people of Super Earth. Therefore, their arrival in Helldivers 2 would mean a thrilling action-packed experience for all the gamers.
2. How do the Illuminate Faction Creatures Look in Helldivers 2?
The Illuminate faction creatures are pale humanoid organisms who have a body texture and features of an aquatic animal considering they have evolved from aquatic organisms. They wear ceremonial robes and armor which give them an intimidating look.
The Reddit user u/IronS1ghts has revealed the models of the Illuminate faction creatures, which were recently added and hidden in the game files.
The leaked image shows a pale white creature’s head with a glowing blue gem on its forehead and a squid-like mouth. This creature has reptile-like feet and looks eerie and difficult to deal with.
Another creature looks more tanky and seems to be a melee combat enemy. Its armor and physical features are surely intimidating.
3. When is the Illuminate Faction coming to Helldivers 2?
The Illuminate faction has already been added to Helldivers 2. Gamers on Reddit have already reported instances of getting hit by a powerful blue laser out of nowhere, which is different from the red laser used by the other enemies currently present in the game.
There has been no direct sighting of any of the Illuminate creatures in the game so far, but Arrowhead studios are known for secretly adding enemies and features into their game and letting the players enjoy the first-hand surprise encounters.
The spontaneous blue laser attacks seem to be a warning for the arrival of the impending doom. It is currently unknown when will the regular Illuminate encounters will start. However, the day does not seem that far.
