Anime NYC 2024 has officially kicked off, and the Otakus excitement is off the charts! The 3-day event started on 23 August 2024 and saw the fans in the Jacob Javits Convention Centre in New York.
The events will be expected to bring a swamp of new announcements that fans have been waiting for. For those who were not fortunate enough to go, we feel for you. So that’s why we have brought to you the exciting happenings that have happened in Anime NYC 2024 so far.
The English dub of Bunny Girl Senpai Confirmed!
Starting with the amazing news for the Bunny Girl Senpai. Season 1 of the anime and the movie- Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl will be getting an English dub.The Aniplex of America panel at Anime NYC 2024, on 23, made the official announcement.
Bunny Girl Senpai anime, directed by Soichi Mausi, was released in October 2018. The series revolves around a high schooler’s unexpected encounter with a mysterious girl. There are also 3 sequel movies out there.
The English dub for the projects is yet to receive a release date, but all the original English dub actors are set to reprise their roles.
Alterna Vvelt- Blue Exorcist Another Story Smartphone Game’s New trailer
Aniplex of America has revealed the new trailer for the smartphone game Alterna Vvelt-Blue Exorcist Another Story for iOS and Android on 23 August, 2024. The game is scheduled to be released in 2024.
The synopsis of the 3D RPG game has also been unveiled, giving a glimpse of the story. The player can play as the Exorcist of the Knight of the True Cross, defending the world of Assiah from the wrath of Demons! The pre-registration of the game is now open.
Originally, the game was announced in 2020 as a new Blue Exorcist MMORPG alongside Aniplex. The game will feature all the original series cast and some new ones. Kazue Katō, the manga author, will review the character draft design with Fukurow Note performing the theme song.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom Official Trailer and Release Date
Bandai Namco Filmworks at Anime NYC didn’t fail to create the hype with its latest announcement. The VR anime for Meta Quest 2 and 3 will be released on October 3, 2024. The trailer for the project with the ME Battle Mode Introduction has also been released.
The anime co-produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and Atlas V, the “immersive adventure” project was first announced in Anime NYC 2023. According to Atlas V co-founder, the project will give the never-before-seen experience of the game and narration.

A Wild Last Boss Appeared Anime Announced!
NBC Universal, at its panel at Anime NYC, has announced the anime adaptation of the light novel series- A Wild Last Boss Appeared! on 23 August 2024.
A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Light novel series by Forehead and YahaKo was originally released in 2015. The plot follows the man who wakes up in the body of his in-game MMO character, Lufas Maphaahl, 200 years after her defeat.
The first visual of the upcoming project has teased the Black-winged Overlord Lufas Maphaahl. The other key information is yet to be announced, so fans must wait for more time.
Azuki to Release Full Color-Print Editions of 2 Manga!
Azuki, the popular manga publishing and distributor site, has announced the full-color prints of 2 manga on its panel. Partnering with Scholastic Graphix, the first color print volume of Hikaru in the Light! and Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms will be launched in March and April 2025.
Hikaru in the Light! is a Seinen manga written by Mai Matsuda, which ended in August 2022. At the same time, Mechanical Arms by Yoshino Koyoka is based on the original Kickstarter-backed anime project.
The company has also added new manga series like Kotonoha by Kisugae, Ryoji Renjo:Gourmet Detective by Tadashi Kato, Sweeter than Cake by Yuga Kuromiya and Dreamnautes by Yasuyuki Oshima.
