The very long-awaited Neon Genesis film – Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0, was first introduced in 2012. It was supposed to be released in 2015, however, due to delays in production, it was postponed to 27th June 2020.
In light of the recent COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the movie has been postponed yet again because of the health concerns of everyone involved. A new visual was also released alongside this announcement.
Studio Khara, the studio responsible for this film, released the first 10 minutes and 40 seconds of the movie last year. In March 2019, the franchise’s official twitter account announced that voice recordings for the movie had begun.

About Neon Genesis Evangelion:
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese anime television series produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, directed by Hideaki Anno and broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996.
This series revolves around Shinji Ikari, who was recruited by his father to battle giant monsters (called Angels) in enormous mecha suits (called Evangelion). Shinji has a hard time bearing this responsibility, and his inner conflict about these events leads to introspective episodes covering a range of religious and existential questions.
