There was a Twitter post by the director saying the team disbanded after the completion of Season 2, which was just an extension of Season 1’s production. Director Nakanishi’s position was left up in the air if he would return. This had many fans worried; however, it seems there isn’t anything to worry about.
The movie will most likely cover the 2nd half of volume 4, a self-contained arc. It’s a wise decision, as the volume would have been too short for a season. Let’s hope Nakanishi creates the same magic with the movie!
