Engage Kiss is the top contender for the title of this year’s most chaotic and unpredictable anime. With a bunch of bizarre characters and a thrilling storyline, the show aims to give fans a never-before-seen romantic comedy.
Set on an isolated artificial island in the Pacific, Engage Kiss is an almost harem-like comedy. The island was created to mine a new energy resource called orgonium, which led to a breakout of demon attacks called ‘D disasters.’
The protagonist Shu Ogata runs a PMC or a Private military company but is going at a loss due to his spending habits. Due to his clumsy nature, Shu often receives help from the women around him out of pity or genuine concern.
A1 Pictures’ original rom-com anime Engage Kiss has revealed a new promotional video that takes us deeper into Shu’s chaotic life. The show is slated to premiere on July 3, 2022.
The trailer also previews the anime’s ending theme song ‘Renai-No’ (Love-Brain) by Akari Nanawo.
At the beginning of the video, we see Kisara pointing her sword at Shu and making him promise something to her. It then cuts to their daily life together, where Kisara, the demon girl Shu made a contract with, takes care of him while helping the man at his agency by annihilating demons.
The viewers are then introduced to Ayano Yugiri, Shu’s ex-girlfriend, who often helps him out of pity. This is how Shu ends up in a confusing relationship with the two girls as he works towards achieving his goal.
As the video ends, we witness an exciting action sequence of the trio fighting demons and Sharon Holygrail calling Shu ‘the strongest demon slayer.’
The anime’s official website has also revealed the second key visual featuring Shu, Kisara, Ayano, and Sharon.
