Episode 9 Speculation
Aoi seems to be trying out new things more often, like snowshoeing. As the story progresses, Aoi and her friends will gain more new experiences. The viewers might witness many of their adventures in the upcoming episodes.
There is a gradual development in bonding between the characters. This time Honoka and Kokona’s friendship got stronger than before. We might see more of the character development in the next episode.

Recap of Episode 8
Since Valentine’s Day is near, Aoi calls Honoka to invite her to climb Mt. Mitake in Okutama, known for its spiritual power spots. Honoka refuses initially due to preparations for her exams but eventually agrees when Aoi mentions that Kokona is joining them.
While traveling, Hinata notices that Honoka wants to talk with Konoka, so Hinata takes Aoi to a different seat with the excuse that the seats are cramped.
Kokona asks if Honoka is interested in visiting places that grant good luck in relationships. Honoka answers that she does not have much ideas about those things but is interested.
Hinata thinks that Honoka joined them to spend more time with Konoka. They reach the first power spot, Ubuyasu-sha Shrine, which is meant for a safe birth, childcare, and good relationships.
They see an ancient zelkova which is also a power spot, supposed to be 1,000 years old from the Heian Period. Honoka clicks a photo of the tree.
After that, they visit another shrine where Tenjin, also known as Sugawara no Michizane, is enshrined. The shrine offers good fortune for school, so Honoka prays to get into the high school she’s trying.
Aoi suggests climbing Mt. Hinode, near the place they are presently in. On reaching the summit, Aoi gives them the hot chocolate and candied orange peels she has prepared for everyone. Hinata praises Aoi for being thoughtful. Honoka tells Kokona that she wants to take pictures like the ones Kokona took of them at Lockheart Castle.
Koharu calls Hinata and Aoi to the Mountaineering Club to tell them about snowshoeing. They decide to do snowshoeing at Mt. Akagi. Aoi asks if Honoka wants to join, to which she agrees, but Kokona couldn’t make it. They are upset to see significantly less snow than expected on reaching the place but still decide to try out the snowshoes anyway.
Koharu instructs them on how to use the snowshoes as they climb. While climbing, they get to see a beautiful view. Suddenly the weather becomes windy, so Koharu wears a balaclava which makes Hinata laugh, and Honoka takes Koharu’s picture while calling her cute.
After taking a short break, they climb down and find that the snow is not frozen, which makes them experience what snowshoeing feels like. They also get to walk on the frozen lake. At last, they enjoy a warm meal at the restaurant.
