Just like in episode 1, episode 2 will focus on recapping previous seasons. In the same way that episode 1 was a recap, every episode till 4 will be the same.

Episode 1 Recap
Once again, the mountain-climbing girls are back! The OP for Yama no Susume was directed/storyboarded by Eri Ire, and it is fantastic. The OP’s most memorable part shows how he emphasizes Naoko Yamada’s body parts and other appendages, particularly the hands. Kaede does a cute hop,
Hinata stumbles on her way out, and Aoi greets the world with firm determination and enthusiasm. The fact that it’s from the perspective of their family and friends makes it all the more touching.
The best way to demonstrate the theme of moving forward one step at a time is to hold your friends’ hands as you take each step.
This is a callback to the shenanigans in season 2. My brain will be occupied with Aoi’s small curtsy for months. As a result, it will be able to call it home. It’s a very subtle character performance.
To retrieve the book, Aoi leans down to hold the bottom of her skirt. Ryosuke Shinkai should have been responsible for all the new footage, and Shinpei Ezaki should have been responsible for the storyboard.
