Aoi plans her next hike to Mt Fuji in episode 11 of Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit, titled “We Meet Again, Mount Fuji!”

As they finish one more challenging hike and chill and make some Paella, Aoi suggests a hike to Mt Fuji next, much to the excitement of everyone in the group.

The new gear was an absolute necessity for the hike and much-needed planning. As Aoi worries about altitude sickness and the weather during the trek, she receives reassurance from everyone around her as she finally begins.

Episode 12 Speculation

The hike to Mt Fuji finally begins, and it will most likely start off with some difficulties. Especially since Aoi is very anxious about altitude sickness, her fears may become reality.

It is unlikely that it will end in difficulty, however, as we can expect Hinata and the rest of the gang to bring her back up to speed and the hike to be completed gracefully. Not only will we be able to see the climb to Mt Fuji, but it’s likely we will also get to see their stops along the way and the beauty of the Subashiri trail.

Recap of Episode 11

The episode starts with the girls climbing in the rain, struggling through the mossy and dirty path as Aoi wonders how much longer she has to endure this. She starts questioning the reasons why she even hikes.

As they finally reach the summit, the reason is made evident as they stare at the beautiful view. They take some photos and set up their camping gear for the night.

Aoi suggests the hike to Mt Fuji and hesitantly asks the rest of the group. All of them are eager to go with her, and Honoka wants to take photos of Fuji’s summit.

At the part-time job at the restaurant, Aoi finally gets her salary, and she asks for time off to climb Mt Fuji next month. The group acquires a new pan and readies all the ingredients for a paella.

Even Kaede manages to join in with some fine thin rice to use for the dish.

They begin planning the Mt Fuji plan; since it is a significant path to the summit, they start comparing all the different routes and their risks and benefits. Eventually, they decide on the Subashiri Trail, as chosen by Aoi.

They make the paella with expert supervision by Kokona; they will also be going by the Gotemba route on the way back to see another area of the mountain.

They go shopping for new gear to take precautions for the Fuji climb, and the store owner gives them some insight on how to choose a proper bag. A waist belt is essential to endure long climbs, and Aoi prefers one that fits her perfectly.

Aoi tests out the new bag as she goes for a nighttime walk. It feels perfect as expected since the waist belt puts all the effort into the lower back. Hinata organizes her packing in order to have the bag as light as possible.

She struggles to fall asleep as she remains anxious about the weather and altitude sickness risks; unluckily, it is exceptionally cloudy as they make their way to the start of the hike. Honoka makes her feel better about it.

They have some fast food before they begin and come across some pilgrim tourists as well. The fog begins clearing up, and they now decide to finally start the hike and pray for their wellbeing.
