Emilia Clarke, First of Her Name, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons… comic book writer, AND a Marvel superhero.
The Game of Thrones actor has been pretty busy as she just published her own comics miniseries, titled M.O.M.: Mother of Madness, and confirmed that she’ll be starring in MCU’s Secret Invasion.
Clarke appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to announce the release of her comic and joked about Marvel being scarily protective about keeping the details of their projects under wraps,
It’s called Secret Invasion. But I’m already scared, like, the first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team, and I am convinced there is a man outside my house. There’s been a car parked there for a long time. And I swear to God, he’s undercover.

Fallon mentioned that it’s obvious Marvel would think she must be good at keeping secrets due to Game of Thrones; Clarke expressed her surprise on the matter,
That’s what I thought too, but they schooled me! And so, I don’t know what to do.
Emilia Clarke
Clarke is the fourth GOT actor to enter the MCU, after Peter Dinklage in Avengers: Infinity War with Richard Madden and Kit Harrington set to debut in The Eternals.
Secret Invasion is expected to draw inspiration from the comics’ storyline. It is a crossover event in the comics. The miniseries will follow Nick Fury and Talos as they deal with an invasion of shape-shifting Skrulls who have infiltrated Earth.
Nobody can be trusted as the shape-shifting Skrulls have replaced many of Marvel’s heroes with impostors, setting the stage for an all-out invasion. These imposters include Elektra, Spider-Woman, Hank Pym, Captain Marvel, among others. Skrulls were first introduced in the MCU in Captain America and also appeared in Spiderman: Far From Home.
The series will be written by Kyle Bradstreet and directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim. Alongside Clarke, new cast members include Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald, and Killian Scott.
While Clarke’s role in Secret Invasion remains a secret, fans would get some idea when filming starts in August. Clarke could play Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman or Abigail Brand, the commander of S.W.O.R.D., or Veranke, Queen of the Skrulls. Regardless of which role Clarke will play, fans won’t be disappointed.
Marvel’s got to be really powerful if they can scare the Mother Of Dragons into remaining silent. Well, at least Clarke’s not Tom Holland.
