El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is a cult classic when it comes to single-player console games.
Developed by Ignition Tokyo back in 2011, El Shaddai is a perfect mixture of Mythology and Fantasy where you, the player, take on the role of Enoch a scribe who is on a mission to save mankind from a devastating flood.
Under the direction of Sawaki Takeyasu, the game was released for PS3 and XBOX 360 in April 28th, 2011 and it quickly gained popularity with its aesthetically pleasing visuals and easy combat style.
There’s good news for all El Shaddai fans out there – Game Developer Crim’s president Sawaki Takeyasu announced that a PC port for El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is currently in development and the game will soon be available on PC via Steam.

El Shaddai tells the story of Enoch, a priest who seeks seven fallen angels to prevent mankind from being destroyed by a great flood.
He is joined by Lucifel, the guardian angel who is in charge of protecting the humans. He is also helped on his quest by four archangels named Rafael, Uriel, Gabriel and Michael.
The characters and storyline are inspired by the Apocryphal Book of Enoch and the game certainly does the story justice with its stunning visuals and mesmerizing soundtracks.
A spin-off RPG titled “The Lost Child” was released for PS4 and PS Vita in 2017, garnering huge attention.
We just can’t wait for the Steam release so that we can once again dive into the mythological world of Enoch!
