Anyhow, for those unaware, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is an old action-adventure video game that was developed and published by UTV Ignition Games for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.

It follows a plot that takes a ton of inspiration from the Book of Enoch and follows Enoch, who is looking for the Seven Fallen Angels to prevent a great flood from swallowing all of mankind.

The game received pretty good reviews from critics who praised the game’s platforming, aesthetically-pleasing visuals that draw inspiration from Studio Ghibli, combat, and side mechanics, that are deep but easy to learn.

That said, the game is definitely one of those delightfully fantastic titles that you cannot help but feel drawn to. Oh well, I’m a big Ghibli fanboy and a massive sucker for their artstyle, so that could be it.

But, it’s undoubtedly quite exciting to see many of these old titles making a return on different platforms.

Take Person 4: Golden, for example; the game was only available on Vita (And the only reason to own that console), but the moment it was announced that it’d be making its way on PC, a lot of people were pretty thrilled, and the game received a super warm welcome on release.

With other games like the Nier Remake, Demon’s Souls Remake arriving in the newer generations once more, I genuinely hope that more of these games make their way to their former glory!
