Shiki discovers the deepest darkest secret of his home planet in episode 11 of Eden’s Zero season 2, titled “Eden’s One.”

With Drakken Joe’s defeat, Weisz moves quickly to get some brutal revenge on the one who murdered his mother. However, Shiki’s words and his own moral compass do not allow him to do something so evil, and he cannot bring himself to put a bullet in someone’s head.

After the celebration and reunion of the entire group, Shiki wants to make a quick visit to his home planet and finds the whole land surrounded by dead robots. Moving further into the kingdom and analyzing the robot’s memories reveals some secrets about the virus.

1. Episode 12 Speculation 

Shiki finds the memories of the robots and also the secret act that they all put on for his sake and the actual reason he was forced out of the planet. However, not all of them are dead, and he meets with his grandpa again, possibly the last.

As he is running out of Ether as we speak, Shiki’s grandpa will likely be able to pass on his final words before dying in his arms. Their reunion will soon be cut short, however, as Eden’s One will also reach the planet very soon and not in a friendly mood.

Drakken’s backstory and the motivation behind his urge for immortality are finally explained. He was raised in a facility that stole the entire lifespan of the kids there. Drakken immediately reverts to his age and becomes extremely weak with the core broken.

However, Weisz immediately moves with his gun to kill the person who killed his mom. Shiki screams at him to spare him, and even through his rage, Weisz cannot bring himself to kill Drakken. The entire group reaches in time for the reunion as they celebrate their victory.

Homura shows Labilia around the ship, and she hasn’t changed as she constantly keeps whining the whole time. Noah also appears before the leading group, praises them for their work in defeating Drakken Joe, and says that they can’t let it be public.

After talking with Noah alone, Rebecca talks with him about a discrepancy she noticed in this world. Mr. Connor, who had helped them navigate the entire way through the cosmos, is completely nonexistent in this world, and not Shiki nor anyone remembers them, and she feels like she might have done something while moving through time.

Meeting Labilia on the way out, Rebecca feels the need to apologize for getting her into this mess. Meanwhile, Jinn is also on the battleship as he waits for Kleene to heal up and get back to normal, and she even manages to mingle with the rest of the squad in the meantime.

While they go to Granbell, the ship of Eden’s, One is also moving to the same destination, headed by Mr. Connor. Coming to his grandpa’s grave, they find a barren battlefield with all the robots completely dead and out of Ether and no virus information.

However, when they analyze the footage on their systems, they discover that the whole thing was just a big act they put on for Shiki. His grandpa had orchestrated the mission to make Shiki leave the planet and live for himself since their fate was already doomed.
