The fight between Drakken and Shiki awakens his innate power in episode 10 of Eden’s Zero Season 2, titled “Advent of The Demon King.”

With Weisz’s outburst almost causing his death, Drakken’s power is made extremely clear to the two of them. While they may not be able to take him on in his prime state, the rest of the crew manages to reverse the ship’s core and significantly weaken the beast.

However, it does not go as planned, as the reversal begins to cause a new transformation that sends Drakken insane and on a rampage. This rampage is enough pressure Shiki to awaken his overdrive and start a new chapter in his adventure.

Weisz is extremely triggered after learning about Drakken and goes on a barrage of attacks filled with emotion while he thinks of his past. The attack on Norma caused his mother to be affected by an unknown disease that had her life slowly sucked away and eventually led to her death.

Even Shiki is shocked at Weisz’s outburst of rage, and he jumps into Drakken with a punch. However, coming into contact was a huge mistake as he immediately gets thrown back with a massive explosion. His arm, the origin of all his power, was now at risk of being cut off by Drakken.

However, Shiki jumps in, saves him, and returns him to his normal senses. Before they launch their attacks, Drakken drops to his knees before they launch their attacks, feeling the effect of the reversal of the ship’s central core that begins taking away his power. It has an unexpected result, putting his ether out of control and transforming him into a colossal monster.

Eden’s Zero crew must quickly escape the area as everything collapses due to the rampage. Drakken manages to get a hold of Rebecca by splitting them into multiple slime-like organisms, but Homura slices through the tentacles and rescues her.

The fight is far from over, as the beast has gone completely insane and destroys everything in sight. Just like he died in the previous timeline, Drakken shoots a bullet straight to Shiki’s head, but all it does is triggers the overdrive of his ether and boost his strength infinitely.

Launching an attack strong enough to pull a black hole out of nowhere, Shiki matches and even overpowers the strength of Drakken Joe. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Homura struggle against the tentacles, but Happy manages to pull through and sets them free.

Using the power of the Star Bringer, Eden’s Zero crew manages to blast a massive hole through the enemy ship and stops its attack charge.
